The standard contains:  This standard is based on the ISO 9002-1994 quality standard. It has 18 sections, 74 shall requirements and 19 procedure requirements. Section 4.19-Servicing and section 4.4-Design Control are excluded and is so stated in the standard, e.g. they are not a requirement

This standard represents an easy to implement quality and inspection control system and is really written and intended for machine shops and light manufacturing industries. If complied with it provides a systematic and consistent control of all day by day key operations within a machine shop or manufacturing environment and is relatively easy to implement and to maintain. This standard is to be revised at the end of 2009, and to be republished
