Aero Space Standards and Guidelines

Title of the standard:  Quality Management Systems-Aerospace Requirements for Stockist Distributors

Current edition:  SAE AS 9120-2009 

The standard contains:  ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and includes over and above sector specific quality management system requirements for the aerospace industry applicable to stockist distributors. The additional requirements, over and above ISO 9001, are shown in bold italic text in the standard.  The standard contains 8 main sections, 42-subsections and 290 shall requirements. Important Note:  Once the system is implemented you are meeting ISO 9001 as well as AS 9120 standard requirements, and therefore you satisfy commercial as well as your aerospace customer requirements.  For auditing purpose the AS 9121 – Quality System Assessment Standard shall be used for meeting section 8.2.2-Internal Audit.
